LifeDocs is an Australian owned and operated company, based in Melbourne. We exist to make it easier for everyone to the have the everyday documents they need throughout their lives.

Why LifeDocs?

LifeDocs is here to make the documents you need to help you through all the stages of your life. 

From making a will, to choosing where to live, to deciding how you want to be cared for if you can’t look after yourself; these are all complex and personal decisions. But documenting these life decisions doesn’t need to be complicated. 

LifeDocs is the easiest to use online tool to help Australians make everyday legal documents, simply, easily, and quickly.

Our story

LifeDocs started in 2016 as an idea born out of the shared frustration of two friends. We were both working and volunteering as lawyers at private and not-for-profit law firms and were concerned and frustrated by how many people couldn’t access (or afford) the simple legal documents that everyone needs throughout their lives. So, we set out to try and solve that problem.

We started first by testing out automating wills with simple online document generators and using them for ourselves, our families, and our friends. But these existing tools were all too hard to use, were not suitable for making legal documents, or were no better than old-fashioned paper forms. Eventually, we decided to make our own service that anyone in Australia could use.

Fast-forward a few years and LifeDocs is the fruit of that original idea. An easy-to-use website that makes documents like wills, powers of attorney, and decision-making documents accessible and instantly available to everyone.
